Terms of Use
Last updated: 15 August 2026
By using townmath.docsanddeadlines.com ("this site"), you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.
What this site is
This site publishes lookup procedures for checking a place before you move there: how to find the tax bill on a specific address, how to read a flood panel or a crime dataset, how to rebuild a cost of living figure from local prices, and how to plan a scouting trip that verifies something. It is an independent publication written by one person.
It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any government agency, county assessor or treasurer, state department of revenue or insurance, FEMA, the Census Bureau, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the FBI, the EIA, or any real estate brokerage, lender, insurer, relocation service, utility, or data provider named on it. Agency names and dataset names are used only to identify the public records being described.
Nothing here is a lead-generation service. This site does not collect your address, your finances, or your contact details in order to pass them to anyone, and it takes no commission, referral fee, or payment from any company or professional mentioned in an article.
No professional advice
Content here is general information, not professional advice.
Specifically, this site does not give real estate, mortgage, financial, investment, tax, legal, or insurance advice, and it does not tell you where to live. It does not appraise or value property, recommend a lender, agent, carrier, or policy, calculate your tax liability, or assess whether a location is safe or suitable for you or your household. The figures and worked examples shown are illustrations of a method, not a determination about any address, and no calculation on this site substitutes for the official record, an appraisal, a binding insurance quote, or advice from a qualified professional licensed in the relevant jurisdiction. Reading this site creates no professional relationship of any kind.
Accuracy and currency
Guides are researched against official sources and dated on publication. Even so:
- Millage rates, assessment ratios, homestead and exemption thresholds, sales and vehicle tax rates, utility tariffs, insurance availability and approved rate filings, flood map revisions, and the layout of the government portals used to look any of this up all change on their own schedules — sometimes mid-year and without notice.
- Public datasets are revised after publication, and agency participation in voluntary datasets varies, so a figure quoted here may not match the same query run later.
- A guide reflects the situation at the date shown on it, not necessarily today.
- Errors happen.
No warranty is given that content is accurate, complete, or current. If you find something wrong, please report it via the contact page — corrections are made promptly.
